I find it hard to make time during adventures to write about them and hard to write about adventures after the fact.
It’s an excuse, really, and I regret that I haven’t started this earlier. But, I’m starting now, with the launch of this website.
I’ve also been inspired by my mate Tim Butler’s blog: Today I bought a boat. I’ve not really been much of a blog reader historically, but Tim is a dear friend and he and his amazing partner, Trina, have rented out their flats and sailed off toward the other side of the Atlantic on a wee but seakindly 30′ sailboat. I miss the limey more than I care to admit so I’ve recently been reading his blog and, I think I like the blog more than I actually like Tim. The easygoing posts are about the right length, surprisingly candid, and (to me) humorous. I can’t help but think: it would be cool to write something like that.

So, here it is, my first blog post. How am I doing so far? Wait, don’t answer that yet. I reckon subsequent posts will be more relevant and interesting, but you gotta start somewhere.
